Dawn Smith is a highly experienced Senior Occupational Therapist who graduated from University of Limerick with a Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2008. She currently also works in Wicklow as a Senior Occupational Therapist across a range of areas including an Early Intervention and Diagnostic Team, a school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Intellectual Disabilities and in a unit for children with Profound Disabilities.
Prior to this, Dawn worked in North County Dublin with Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and in South County Dublin in Primary Care.
Dawn is a member of CORU (Health & Social Care Professionals Council) and the AOTI as a committee member of the Paediatric Advisory Group from 2014-2016.
She enjoys working with children with general gross and fine motor issues including Dyspraxia, and well as more specific handwriting and other motor issues. She particularly enjoys working with children across both home and school to help them deal with any functional day to day problems that are having. Dawn is also interested in Sensory Processing Disorder and how it affects children’s participation in everyday life.
