Dr Katie McDonnell
Senior Educational and Clinical Psychologist
Dr Katie McDonnell is a Chartered Senior Educational and Clinical Psychologist. Katie obtained her MA in Educational Psychology in University College Dublin and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the University of Limerick.
Katie has worked in a range of healthcare settings, including Early Intervention and School-Age Disability Community Disability Network Teams (CDNT), Adult Disability Services and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Katie has also worked with the Adult Autism practice to provide neurodiversity affirmative, strengths based adult autism identifications.
Katie has additional training and experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
Katie works from a neurodiversity affirmative, and child-centered approach with a focus on the strengths of the children and families she supports.
