Dr Toni Gallign
Clinical Psychologist
Toni is a qualified psychologist with a strong academic foundation and diverse clinical expertise.
She earned her BA in Psychology from University College Dublin in 2012, followed by a Master’s in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, with distinction, from Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2022, she completed her Clinical Doctorate in Psychology. Her doctoral research focused on improving cognitive assessment measures in Ireland.
Toni brings a wealth of clinical experience, having worked extensively in HSE Primary Care, HSE Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and HSE Disability Services. She specialises in supporting children and young people through clinical assessments, emotional interventions, and collaborative work with families and educators. Her compassionate, person-centred approach ensures that each child’s unique strengths and needs remain central to her practice.
With extensive expertise in psychological assessments, Toni also integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy into her work. She has also led parenting programs, including Timid to Tiger, Parents Plus, Friends for Life, and foster parent support groups.
Toni is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and is committed to ongoing professional development through participation in conferences and workshops. Her work is characterized by a flexible, neuro-affirmative approach that prioritises individuality and inclusivity.
In addition to her clinical practice, Toni is passionate about advocating for Autistic supports and rights across Ireland, ensuring that all individuals are met with understanding, respect, and opportunity.
