Katie has a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with CORU and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland. Katie has worked on a Children’s Disability Network Team and prior to this had six years of experience working with children and adolescents with diverse physical, emotional, and behavioural needs as a support worker.
Katie is deeply committed to enabling children to fully engage in their daily activities and empowering them to reach their highest potential. She adopts neuroaffirmative and strengths-based approaches to support neurodivergent children and their families. These methods emphasise recognising and celebrating individual strengths, interests, and unique needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for neurodivergent individuals.
