Niamh is a Senior Educational Psychologist who completed her Doctoral training in University College Dublin, having begun her journey in psychology at University College Cork where she received both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology.
Prior to her Doctoral training, Niamh worked in a special school setting providing early intervention support for Autistic children. She also worked in the Disability Support Service in a third level education setting, where she provided tailored academic and therapeutic supports. Niamh has also worked as an assessor of applications for the Disability Access Route to Education scheme for 6th year students applying for further education.
Throughout her Doctoral training, Niamh gained experience in a variety of settings including the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS), Child Disability services (Early Intervention & School Age Disability Teams) and Primary Care Child Psychology Services.
Niamh has comprehensive training in a variety of psychological assessment tools. She has experience of engaging in assessment and intervention work through child-centred practice with children and young people as well as experience of facilitating supportive parenting groups including Stepping Stones Triple P and From Timid to Tiger.
Niamh is passionate about supporting Autistic children and children and young people experiencing mental health conditions through the lens of building supportive, collaborative relationships.
