Dr Miriam Fehily is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing neuro-affirmative child and family-centred assessment and therapy.
Miriam completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Trinity College Dublin. She holds a BSc in Clinical Speech and Language Studies (Speech and Language Therapy) from Trinity College Dublin, a Higher Diploma in Psychology (Conversion Course) from University College Dublin (UCD), and an MSc in Applied Psychology from UCD.
Miriam has a wide range of experience practicing across various health and educational settings, including Children’s Disability Network Teams, Child Primary Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health service (CAMHS), Disability services, Túsla and Adult Mental Health settings. Across these settings, Miriam has supported children, adults and families identifying as neurodivergent and/or experiencing a range of psychological difficulties. Miriam has extensive experience of providing neuro-affirmative psychological and multidisciplinary assessments. She has trained in a breadth of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches.
Prior to her doctoral training Miriam provided psychological services to university students and supported autistic children in residential settings. Miriam completed her doctoral research on the effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapies in improving the well-being of parents and caregivers of autistic children. She occasionally lectures on the Doctorate of clinical Psychology course in Trinity College Dublin.
