Stephanie attained her undergraduate degree from the University of Dundee. She then went on to complete two postgraduate degrees, the first of these was an MSc in The Psychology of Mental Health, also from Dundee University. After deciding that her interests were in child psychology, she went on to study an MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and young people at Edinburgh University. Stephanie graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Trinity College.
Stephanie worked with children in Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Scotland for two years where her interest in children who were neurodiverse developed. She then went on to work in Paediatric Psychology for another year, further developing her clinical skills working with children and young people. Stephanie completed three child placements during her doctorate in Disability services, Primary Care and Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Stephanie is passionate about increasing understanding of neurodiversity both for those who are considered neurodivergent and wider society. She is a passionate advocate for the rights and inclusion of neurodivergent people.
In Stephanie’s spare time she enjoys playing gaelic football, doing pilates and spending time with her French bulldog Hank!
