Rachel’s affinity for psychology - particularly Child and Educational Psychology - began during her time studying Undergraduate Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, from which she graduated with First Class Honours in 2021.
Rachel worked as a Special Needs Assistant in a special education setting for three years, working with Autistic children, many of whom also presented with other complex needs. Here, she developed a passion for helping children to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Rachel also has ample experience working with neurotypical and neurodivergent children alike in more informal settings, such as through babysitting, summer camps and running Summer Provision programmes. She believes strongly in promoting the welfare of the children in her care, seeing it as absolutely vital to treat them with the utmost respect, and preserve their dignity, at all times.
In her spare time, Rachel is passionate about volunteering, having volunteered previously with organisations such as the Ronald McDonald House at Crumlin Children’s Hospital, SUAS Ireland, and the HSE Crisis Textline. She is also an accomplished sportswoman, and is currently the captain of both her athletics club’s Ladies Track and Field team, and her GAA team.
