Dr Paula Cosgrove

Educational & Child Psychologist

Dr. Paula Cosgrove is an Educational & Child Psychologist who completed her Doctorate in Educational Psychology at University College Dublin. She also holds a Master of Science in Psychology from Birmingham City University, where she was awarded a Distinction for her academic excellence.

Before training as a psychologist, Paula worked as a primary school teacher for nine years, giving her a deep understanding of child development and the school environment. She has extensive experience working with children and young people, including those from the neurodivergent community.

Throughout her doctoral training, Paula gained broad experience across various educational and clinical settings. She completed placements with the National Educational Psychology Service (NEPS), the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), and Primary Care Psychology Services, where she developed expertise in diagnostic assessment, therapeutic approaches, and consultation methods.

Paula adopts a child-centred and strengths-based approach, ensuring that each child’s unique needs, interests, and abilities are at the heart of her work.
