Céira Moroney

Senior Speech & Language Therapist

Céira is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist with experience working with neurodivergent children and young people in Spain and Ireland. She is a graduate from Trinity College Dublin and is passionate about delivering holistic and neuroaffirmative assessment and therapy to her clients. Céira is registered with CORU and is a full member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.

Growing up with a disabled sibling, introduced her to a world of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) from an early age. This gift of early exposure sparked a keen interest in AAC and led to her pursuing a career in Speech and Language Therapy.

She herself is neurodivergent, she is autistic and ADHD. These identifications allow her to pair her personal experience alongside her clinical expertise. Like many people who identify as female, Céira discovered her AuDHD identity in adulthood which inspired her desire to work and collaborate with fellow neurodivergent people and their families. She is a proud ally for the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a safe space for people to express themselves authentically.

She has previously worked in paediatrics, providing assessment and intervention to children with a wide variety of speech, language and communication differences. She also has experience working with bilingual and multilingual children.

Céira participates in continuous professional development (CPD) having completed the Hanen More Than Words programme, SCERTS and Meaningful Speech (for Gestalt Language Processors as well as AAC) courses thus far. She is incredibly passionate about her work, as well as being able to connect with children and their families on a daily basis.
