Clinical Psychologist

Dr Amy Corbett is a Clinical Psychologist committed to creating a collaborative and supportive therapeutic space that is neuro-affirmative and centred around the unique needs of each child and family.

Amy completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). She holds an Masters in Psychological Science (M.Psych.Sc.) from University College Dublin (UCD), an MA in Psychology from the University of Limerick (UL), and a BA in Psychological Science and English from the National University of Galway (NUIG).

Amy has extensive clinical experience across a variety of healthcare settings, including Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Adult Mental Health settings and Primary Care Psychology services. She is dedicated to working with children, young people, and their families, using a neuro-affirmative, strengths-based approach that honours each individual’s needs and abilities.

Amy is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Amy strives to create an assessment environment that is positive, welcoming, aiming to empower and validate young people and their families as they navigate the assessment process.

Passionate about supporting families and young people, Amy uses a collaborative, strengths-based approach to ensure both the young person and their family feel empowered and validated throughout the assessment journey.
