Amanda Le Quesne is a Psychotherapist who holds a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
Amanda has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their parents in a variety of settings including a secondary school, cancer support services, and private practice. In these settings she provides one-to-one therapy for the young person, using a child-centred, neurodiversity affirmative approach, supporting them with the challenges they face, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, coping with change, transitions, and identity formation challenges. Amanda’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based – identifying and utilising the young person’s strengths to overcome any obstacles in reaching their goals.
Amanda has trained with creative media in therapy, using play therapy, art therapy and sand tray therapy where appropriate to the child’s age and development. She also has experience in facilitating group therapy with children and teenagers.
