Sandra has a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Limerick. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with CORU and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland. She has experience working in the areas of autism, sensory regulation, dyspraxia, dysgraphia and challenges in social emotional communication, fine and gross motor skills and emotional regulation.
She is passionate about the impact that Occupational Therapy can have in helping children to participate and engage as fully as possible in their everyday activities and empowering them to achieve their full potential.
She uses neuroaffirmative and strengths-based approaches to support neurodivergent children and their families. These approaches acknowledge that everyone has unique strengths, interests and support needs, and it is important to recognise and celebrate these differences in order to provide a safe and welcoming environment for neurodivergent people.
