Senior Counselling Psychologist

Dr Leora DeFlumere is a Senior Chartered Psychologist who brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to her work with children and families. She brings to the clinic a strong background in neuroaffirmative autism assessment and a deep commitment to inclusive, respectful care.

Leora completed her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, where her research focused on making mental health services more inclusive and supportive. She also holds a Master’s in Applied Psychology and has extensive clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in both public and private settings.

Dr DeFlumere conducts autism assessments in a neuroaffirmative way—meaning she recognises and values neurodiversity, aiming to understand each child on their own terms. Her work is informed by a range of therapeutic approaches, and she strives to ensure every family feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout the identification journey.

Beyond assessments, Leora has experience helping people navigate life transitions, parenthood, and emotional wellbeing. She is passionate about training and mentoring other psychologists, ensuring high standards of care across the field of psychology.
