Ashlie completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Trinity College Dublin. She holds a BSc in psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Global Mental Health from the University of Glasgow, and an MA in Applied Psychology (Mental Health) from University College Cork.
During her doctorate programme Ashlie gained a wide range of experience practicing across various health and education settings, including Children’s Disability Network Teams, Child Primary Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Disability, and Adult Mental Health Services. Ashlie has supported children, adults, and families who are neurodivergent and/or experiencing a range of psychological difficulties and is passionate about working in a neuro-affirmative and person-centred manner.
She has experience in a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Prior to her doctoral training Ashlie worked in a range of services, including Primary Care, Disability, and Homeless services. Additionally, she facilitated supportive groups for parents such as Parents Plus.
In her spare time Ashlie enjoys travelling, spending time in the outdoors, hiking and climbing, and practicing yoga.
