Patricia is an Educational Psychologist with over 20 years teaching experience in both Ireland and the UK. Patricia has a First Class Honours degree in Psychology from the Open University and graduated from University College Dublin with a First Class Honours Masters in Educational Psychology.

Patricia is experienced in assessing and developing accommodations and interventions for children with specific learning difficulties (dyslexia and dyscalculia), mild or moderate intellectual disabilities and children with autism. She is a strong advocate for the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities in their local schools and communities. Patricia has extensive experience of working with children with additional needs, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. She has completed clinical training for the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and is a facilitator for the Friends for Life anxiety reducing programme.

Patricia has a special interest in mathematics and numeracy development and has wide-ranging experience of supporting learning in these areas from struggling learners to gifted students. She has taught mathematics at second level for many years and has extensive experience of Project Maths both at Junior and Senior cycle.  She strongly believes in positive collaboration between parents, schools and support agencies to see each child reach their full learning and personal potential.

Patricia is a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and a member of the Teaching Council of Ireland. Patricia’s experience as an educational psychologist includes the HSE Disability Services, St Michael’s House services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, the Daughters of Charity and the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS).
